Quadoro picks up mixed-use Helsinki asset

German real estate investor Quadoro Doric has acquired a multi-use property in the centre of Helsinki from educational foundation Svenska Folkskolans Vänner.

Dubbed Diana, the property comprises 3,400 m2 of lettable area, including residential, offices and ground-floor retail space. There is also parking for 22 vehicles. The building was erected in 1898 on a 1,336 m2 site.

Quadoro has acquired the asset for its open-ended special alternative investment fund Vontobel Sustainable Real Estate Europe. The deal marks the fund's Finnish debut.

'We are delighted to have advised Quadoro on this acquisition which continues our close working relationship across the Nordics. This property has strong fundamentals with further opportunities for value enhancement and we are looking forward to working with Quadoro to bring these to fruition,' said Niels Keergaard Christiansen of NCAP, advisors to Quadoro.

Nordanö advised the vendor.
