Newsec, the largest consultant in real estate and renewable energy in the Nordics and Baltics, has recruited Ulrica Holmgren to the position of chief digitalisation officer.
Holmgren has considerable experience from IT and digitalisation in different industries with a strong commercial background, being responsible for cross-functional teams and transformation in growing organisations as well as working as a management consultant.
She most recently worked as chief information officer (CIO) at bank and insurance company Länsförsäkringar and has experience from the telecom industry as CIO at Telenor Sweden.
'We are very happy that Ulrica has chosen to join Newsec and bring deep and broad experience within all areas of IT such as product management, strategy and operations. The real estate industry is in the middle of a digitalization journey and Newsec plays an important part in that transformation.
'The recruitment of Ulrica further strengthens our ambition to be a leader in the area. She will lead our IT- and technology team on our journey and work closely with our digital accelerator team to bring value to our clients,' said Patrik Attemark, CEO, Newsec.
Holmgren will lead Newsec’s IT organisation and be a member of the executive management team. She will assume her new position with immediate effect.
'Looking forward to be part of Newsec’s journey ahead, with digitalisation and sustainability in focus. Newsec is in a leading and unique position and I’m really looking forward to becoming part of the team.
'I’m passionate about digitalising for increased customer and societal benefits and hope to contribute to an accelerated transition towards a digital and climate-smart real estate industry,' said Holmgren.
In recent years, Newsec has experienced strong growth, with more than 2,600 employees in the five business areas of property asset management, advisory, investment management, digital accelerator and energy transition.
