Necron Group secures €154m loan from ABN Amro for Dutch logistics properties

Swiss based real estate company Necron Group has secured a €153.6 mln, two-year loan from Dutch bank ABN Amro to realise five logistics properties in the Netherlands.

Located in Flevokust, Eemshaven, Ridderkerk, Hoeksche Waard and Dordrecht, the distribution centres will be developed and built by general contractors Ten Brinke Bouw and Aan de Stegge Twello.

Gerard van Liempt, CEO of Necron Group, said: ‘We are very pleased with how the entire process went and the constructive way in which ABN Amro has thought along with us to arrive at the appropriate financing. We see this as the continuation of our lasting relationship and look forward to the same pleasant cooperation for our future projects with ABN Amro as the in-house banker.’

Maarten de Ruijter, head of commercial real estate clients at ABN Amro, added: ‘In recent years, Necron Group has built up an impressive pipeline of projects and this pipeline is also well filled for the future. By providing this financing, we enable Necron Group to take an important step in the development of these sustainable projects. We are very pleased with the expansion of our cooperation and the way in which this transaction has been concluded. This is an excellent example of a long-term strategic relationship that we as ABN Amro pursue with our clients.’

Necron Group has developed and realised around 250,000 m2 of real estate in Europe in recent years and its current pipeline is worth over €1 bn.
