'Investing in the fund of funds is ideal for the pension fund of the members of the European Parliament because it gives broad access to the real estate sector in the eurozone - something that is not possible with direct investing,' said Karin van der Sluijs, manager of Arlington's fund of funds. 'Several pension funds are investing in real estate outside their home markets, attracted by the high returns whcih this can supply,' she said.
Arlington Securities has been a subsidiary of the Macquarie Goodman Group since December 2005.
