Knight Frank names UK ESG head for PAM business

Global property consultancy Knight Frank has recruited ESG professional Amira Hashemi, as UK ESG Lead Property and Asset Management. Hashemi joins from a client-side role as UK ESG Lead at Frasers Property UK.

She will be working closely with the Knight Frank Property and Asset Management and Energy and Sustainability departments. She has led the ESG activities for Frasers Property UK for the past four years and prior to this spent four years with Frasers Property Australia.

Over recent years Hashemi has led the sustainability strategy for Frasers Property UK taking Frasers Property UK from not reporting into GRESB to a 4 star GRESB award within two years and, first in the peer group, and achieved the certification of the UK’s first 3-star Fitwel certified business park.
In her new role, she will lead upon ESG strategy and implementation across Knight Frank’s Asset Management, Property Management and Facilities Management businesses across the UK.

Michael Lewis, head of Property and Asset Management at Knight Frank, commented: 'We are delighted that Amira is joining Knight Frank into this newly created role of ESG Lead UK for our Property and Asset Management (PAM) business. We have ambitious plans to grow our PAM business across the UK and ensuring that our approach to ESG is market leading is essential.'

David Goatman, head of Energy and Sustainability EMEA at Knight Frank, added: 'Our PAM business is one of our most important service lines and it is absolutely right that we have industry leading ESG individuals in that business driving our ESG client interactions and offer.'
The recruitment of Amira complements Knight Frank’s wider expansion of ESG advice and expertise across their business, with Jonathan Hale joining as head of ESG Consultancy and Harriet Hix as senior ESG consultant in 2022, and the recent formation of a new ESG Research team led by Flora Harley.
