GLP Capital Partners Europe has elevated its group finance director of four years to CFO taking over from Shane Kelly who has joined Logicor.
Nick Cook, president of GCP Europe, said it was an easy decision to appoint Ben Marks.
‘Appointing Ben as our new CFO for Europe was an easy decision given Ben’s reputation and experience notably the last four years working within our business as group finance director. His appointment provides us with a seamless transition, which is thanks in a large part to smart succession planning and careful talent development within the business.'
‘Where possible we always prefer to grow and promote from within and this was a great example of that, which in turn will inevitably create more opportunities for other colleagues to expand and develop their careers within GCP.’
Marks joined from house builder, St George.
Earlier this year, GLP underwent a strategic reorganisation to create GCP, a stand-alone global fund management business with approximately $125 bn of AUM across 52 funds.
The European business has also seen AUM rise from €6.7 bn and an operating portfolio of 2.7 mln m2 to €15.4 bn with an operating portfolio of 8.8 mln m2.
