Deutsche Investment Retail reinforces team with new hires

DIR Deutsche Investment Retail has recruited retail experts Jens-Oliver Hühnel and Henning Jürgens as transaction manager and analyst respectively.

In his role as head of transaction management, 52-year old Jens-Oliver Hühnel will build up and expand the company’s retail property portfolio nationwide, focusing on food-anchored local convenience centres and retail warehouse parks, full-line grocery stores and discount supermarkets.

He has been active in the real estate industry for the past 25 years, and during this time gained a wealth of experience in the areas of property development, transactions management, investment fund management and property management.

Prior to his transfer to DIR, he served in a senior role with Ratisbona Holding, being responsible for designing, developing and marketing retail real estate. His previous career stations include aurelis Real Estate & Co. and Nürnberger Lebensversicherung, an insurance company.

Henning Jürgens, 56, will reinforce DIR’s asset management team headed by Matthias Kreil. As analyst, he will help to develop the performance of property assets in line with the real estate strategy, and compile asset and portfolio analyses and business plans. A certified business economist, Henning Jürgens has been in management accounting for about 30 years, and has worked in the real estate industry for the past two decades.

He joined EB Immobilienmanagement as corporate and portfolio controller in 2013 before transferring within the group of companies in 2016, joining the corporate and risk controlling core division of EB GROUP Holding.
