The Masterclass will explore the role of hosting major International Events like the Olympic Games in attracting public and private investment for urban development after the crisis. The event will examine the following topics:
· Why and how does an Olympic Games help to attract public and private investment into city development?
· What has been the experience of Barcelona, Turin, and London (so far) in attracting public and private investment through the Olympics?
· Should Amsterdam host the Olympic Games in 2028? What could it achieve, and how would the private sector respond?
