WDP names new chief financial officer

Warehouses De Pauw (WDP) has named Mickaël Van den Hauwe as the new chief financial officer of the Euronext-listed closed-end real estate investment company. Van den Hauwe graduated as a commercial engineer from the Solvay Business School (Brussels). After gaining initial experience in the controlling department at Unilever Bestfoods Belgium, Van den Hauwe began his career as an analyst with Dexia Bank.

He subsequently became an analyst at KBC Securities where, among others, WDP was part of his portfolio. Van den Hauwe takes over the task of CFO from the current CEO Joost Uwents.

WDP constructs, develops and lets 1.2 million m2 of semi-industrial and logistics property in Belgium, France, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. The company has a ground potential of almost 2 million m2 in Romania. At end-December 2010, the total actual value of the WDP portfolio was EUR 822 mln.
