Wallenstam buys five assets in Gothenburg for EUR 64m

Swedish property company Wallenstam has acquired a portfolio of five commercial assets in downtown Gothenburg for a total of SEK 585 mln (EUR 64 mln). The vendor is Diligentia.

The assets provide 22,400 m2 of space in the centre of Gothenburg, with major tenants including Friskis & Svettis, Försäkringskassan and Zara. Ownership of the assets will be transferred on September 1.

'The market for commercial properties in Gothenburg is strong, with both demand and rental levels developing positively,' said Hans Wallenstam, president of Wallenstam.

The properties consist of Gårda 22:24 with nearly 8,700 m2, Gårda 20:1, Inom Vallgraven 20:9, 55:1 and 57:7.
