Vinci to develop Saint Denis HQ for SFR

French construction group Vinci has won a contract to develop the future headquarters of French mobile phone company SFR in Saint-Denis, near Paris.

Vinci Immobilier has signed a development contract for the complex, which will consist of four buildings comprising a total of 133,000 m2 of gross lettable area and 1,650 parking spaces near the Stade de France.

Designed by star architect Jean-Paul Viguier, the scheme aims to obtain HQE, BBC and BREEAM environmentally sustainable certificates. The scheme will also include 1,600 m2 of retail accommodation, conference facilities with capacity for 750 people, and an auditorium.

Construction work will start in mid-2011 and completion is expected for mid-2015. Phase I, which will be finalised by end 2013, will consist of two buildings with 74,000 m2 of space, while Phase II will see the development of the remaining 59,000 m2.
