Vailog to build 32,000-m2 shed for Geodis
Date: 17 February 2011
Category: Development
Italian industrial real estate developer and investor Vailog is starting construction of a new distribution centre in the CSG logistics park in Castel San Giovanni, near Milan. The 32,000-m2 facility will be developed for Geodis Logistics, which has agreed to occupy the property in full.

The new facility is expected to be completed in September 2011. It will be equipped with a 1.5 MW solar panel installation, producing over 1,700,000 kWh per year. It will be developed with the most advanced environmental features (isolation, rain-water recycling, etc.) and will be carbon-neutral, with the aim of obtaining a 'Very Good' certification under BREEAM standards.

CSG Logistics Park is a major logistics park in northern Italy which by the end of 2011 will offer over 350,000 m2 of distribution space, entirely occupied. Main tenants include Geodis, Giochi Preziosi, Rajapack, Norbert Dentressangle, Moncler, Bosch, and DSV.
