Category: Logistics
Italian industrial real estate developer and investor Vailog said it has delivered a new distribution platform in Paris to global logistics provider Geodis. The company has completed a 20,300-m2 distribution centre in the Port of Paris (Bonneuil-sur-Marne), just 12 km from the Paris ring-road.

Vailog was assisted by Virtuo Industrial Property, a specialist in warehouse development management. CBRE was the real estate agent for the transaction.

Vailog has developed nearly 100,000 m2 of logistics facilities for the SNCF Geodis Group in Europe. Last month, the company started construction of a new distribution centre for Geodis Logistics in the CSG logistics park in Castel San Giovanni, near Milan. The 32,000-m2 facility will be let in full to Geodis and is expected to be completed in September 2011. It will be equipped with a 1.5 MW solar panel installation, producing over 1,700,000 kWh per year and will be carbon-neutral, with the aim of obtaining a 'Very Good' certification under BREEAM standards.
