Thomas Beyerle has joined the management team of German listed real estate investor IVG as head of Corporate Social Responsibility & Research. Gerhard Niesslein, speaker of the board, will be his direct superior.

Beyerle will manage the development and implementation of a sustainability strategy for the IVG Group. In parallel, the independent market research of IVG is to be expanded considerably.

Beyerle is the former head of Global Research for Aberdeen Group and head of the Research & Consulting division of Degi.

IVG said that by means of a sustainability-orientated attitude, the company's responsibility towards society and environment is to be increased. In spring 2010 IVG successfully launched the first Green Building Fund 'Premium Green Fund' with a volume of EUR 300 mln for institutional investors.
