Alecta begins EUR 60m mixed-use project in Sweden

Swedish insurer Alecta has mandated development and construction group NCC to build a mixed-use scheme for SEK 550 mln (EUR 60 mln).

The assignment involves the refurbishment and construction of 18,000 m2 of new premises in the Plåten block in the Swedish city of Sundbyberg. Alecta is planning a new property block featuring housing, offices, shopping, hotels and restaurants.

Plåten, with 36,000 m2 of total space, currently consists of vacant industrial and office premises.

The project is scheduled for completion in autumn 2013.
