Strabag to build EUR 250m project in Berlin

Strabag Real Estate has unveiled plans to invest some EUR 250 mln in the development of the Atlas tower in the City-West area in Berlin.

In a statement, the Cologne-based firm said it has acquired a 3,400 m2 plot on Joachimstaler Strasse from EH Estate Management for the construction of a 120-metre high skyscraper offering up to 51,000 m2 of space over 33 storeys.

Construction is expected to begin in 2012, with completion planned for 2015.

In Germany, Strabag's ongoing developments include the Tanzende tower in Hamburg and MesseCity in Cologne.
