Skanska starts construction of Poznań scheme

Construction and development group Skanska has received the green light for its first office project in the Polish city of Poznań.

Construction of the 15,700 m2 Malta House scheme will start in January 2012 and is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2013.

Designed by Pentagram Architekci, Malta House will be developed next to the Galeria Malta shopping centre and will be the first LEED-certified office building in Poznan. The project has already obtained LEED Platinum environmental pre-certification.

Skanska has been active in Poland since 1997. Its major developments in the country include Deloitte House and Marynarska Point in Warsaw as well as Grunwaldzki Center in Wroc³aw.
