RREEF appoints research chief for Asia Pacific

RREEF Real Estate, the real estate investment management business of Deutsche Bank's Asset Management division, has appointed Leslie Chua as head of Research and Strategy for Asia Pacific (excluding Japan and Korea).

Based in Singapor, Chua joins the Asia Pacific RREEF Real Estate Research and Strategy team alongside Koichuro Obu, head of Research and Strategy for Japan and Korea. has more than a decade of real estate research experience, and most recently was head of Research and Strategic Planning at Pacific Star Holdings. Previously, he was head of Research and Strategy at Standard Chartered Bank - Istithmar Real Estate Fund Management, and earlier, played a key role developing the Jones Lang LaSalle Real Estate Intelligence Service (JLL REIS).

Chua's addition to RREEF Real Estate's research team follows the appointments of Mark Roberts, Global head of Research, in June, and Simon Durkin, head of European Research, in January.

His appointment also marks the second senior-level hire for RREEF Real Estate in Asia Pacific in the last month. In August, Rahul Ghai joined RREEF Real Estate as director of Acquisitions and Asset Management for South East Asia.
