Retail property specialist Redevco has pre-let 70% of the retail and leisure space in its ALEA 101 development on Berlin’s Alexanderplatz.

Shoeshop AktivSchuh and restaurant chain Vapiano are among the tenants who have signed up for 7,300 m2 of the 10,500 m2 retail element of the scheme whose construction is due to start today.

ALEA 101 is located in the immediate vicinity of the Berlin television tower. The approximately 30 metre high stand-alone building comprises one basement, ground and four upper floors with approx. 19,000 m2 gross floor space with retail and leisure space arranged over basement through to the second floor.

Prime residential units and offices are planned for the top two floors. The development was awarded a Gold pre-certificate by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) at EXPO REAL in 2011.
