PropertyEU is holding a series of specialist Investment Briefings at the Expo Real international property trade fair in Munich. The themes are European logistics, European debt finance and investing in the Netherlands.
The special Expo Real panel discussion and networking events are modelled on the Investment Briefings run by PropertyEU in London, Amsterdam and Brussels this year.
Richard Betts, associate publisher at PropertyEU: 'The event is designed to create a meeting point within Expo Real for senior leaders in real estate investment, development and finance to discuss and highlight the investment opportunities across Europe and benefit from concrete strategies to maximise returns in key sectors'.
The Investment Briefings take place at the Networking Lounge (stand 440) in Hall A1 at Expo Real.
The Investment Briefing on the Netherlands takes place from 14.45 to 16.00 on Monday 8 October. The panellists include Dick van Hal, CEO of Dutch real estate asset manager Bouwfonds; Marco Hekman, CEO Netherlands, CBRE and Heino Vink, CEO of European shopping centre developer and manager Multi Corporation. They will discuss the opportunities that exist in the market and that have attracted German fund managers despite negative press about property valuations.
In recognition of the growing interest among institutional investors for logistics and industrial property, PropertyEU brings together leading professionals to discuss the opportunities in Europe. One of the main issues will be whether investors should focus on the more established markets in the west or look for higher-yielding opportunities in the east.
The Investment Briefing takes place from 16.15 to 17.45.
The panel includes Philip Dunne, President, Europe at Prologis; Jean Lavieille, deputy chief investment officer at AEW Europe; James Markby, head of industrial & logistics Investment, CBRE; Steffen Ricken, managing director Institutional Funds, IVG Immobilien and Ian Worboys, CEO of PointPark Properties.
On Tuesday 9 October, the European Debt and Investment Briefing will deal with the potential solutions and investment opportunities for real estate professionals in the debt markets.
The event takes place from 14.45 to 16.00.
The speakers include Ad Buisman, Partner, EMEIA head of real estate at Ernst & Young; Christian Delaire, CEO of AEW Europe; Jesus Varela, partner and head of Real Estate Spain, Salans and Jan-Evert Post, member of the global management team, ING Real Estate Finance.
