Arcapita's logistics property arm Pointpark Properties has signed an agreement with the Polish unit of Portuguese retail group Jeronimo Martins to expand its lease agreement at Pointpark's Mszczonow park in Poland. Following the transaction, JM will occupy over 40,000 m2 of warehousing and office space in a dedicated facility within the park.

JM's expansion 'confirms the added value that the park offers to its tenants,' Pointpark Properties said on Wednesday. Located 45 km away from Warsaw, Pointpark Mszczonow is one of the largest logistic centres in Central and Eastern Europe with 96,000 m2 of A-class warehouse space. The park also offers potential for the development of a further 213,000 m2 of space.

Similarly, Panattoni Europe said this week that it has signed a new lease agreement for a total of 23,000 m2 of warehouse and office space in three business parks near Warsaw: Pruszków, Ożarów and Błonie II.

The Italian developer has leased around 5,500 m2 of warehouse and office space in its Panattoni Park Ożarów to Mercator Papier while pharmacy group Astellas Pharma is taking 2,609 m2 of warehousing space and 258 m2 of office space. Panattoni's Park Błonie II is currently fully leased after Poltraf Sp. signed a contract for over 7,200 m2. In Panattoni Park Pruszków one of the tenants, CAT LC has decided to expand the space it occupies and has signed a new contract for a further 3,927 m2 of warehouse space.

Following the transactions, just 4% out of the 220,000 m2 of space in the parks remains vacant, Panattoni said. Panattoni has six distribution centres in the Warsaw region and is planning to add two buildings with 32,000 m2 of space to its Ożarów logistics park.
