Date: 17 March 2011
Category: Fund
Dutch private pension fund, Stichting Pensioenfonds voor de Media PNO, and its asset manager, Media Pensioen Diensten (MPD) have extended an agreement with Grontmij Capital Consultants (GCC) to advise on the strategy, implementation and monitoring of the pension fund's real estate portfolio.

GCC has been advising PNO Media/MPD since 2002. The pension fund has 15,000 clients and over EUR 3 bn in assets under management.

'Our choice to confirm the advisory role to GCC is obviously guided by their investment capabilities,' said Jeroen van de Put, CIO of MPD. 'But equally important to us is the incorporation of issues such as socially responsible investment and sustainability in the investment process. It is also of the utmost importance that we document our investment decisions in a transparent manner, remaining accountable towards our participants and towards the supervisory authority.'

GCC advises pension funds and other institutional investors on their investments in real estate and infrastructure.
