Deutsche Pfandbrief, LBBW refinance Frankfurt tower

Pbb Deutsche Pfandbriefbank is joining forces with Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) to arrange EUR 155 mln in funding for one of Frankfurt's most iconic buildings.

The 265-metre high MesseTurm is owned by GLL MesseTurm, a fund managed by GLL Real Estate Partners. Deutsche Pfandbriefbank will also act as facility and security agent for the term of the refinancing loan.

Designed by Chicago-based architects bureau Murphy Jahn, the Messe tower was completed in 1990 and provides 62,135 m2 over 52 floors. Main tenants include the Bank of New York Mellon and press agency Thomson Reuters.

GLL Real Estate Partners, with headquarters in Munich and offices in Luxembourg, Orlando, San Francisco, Budapest and Santiago de Chile, is an owner-led real estate investment and management company. Its portfolio has a total value of over EUR 4.5 bn.
