Date: 5 April 2011
Category: Retail
The new shopping mall of the A10 Center on the southern Berlin motorway ring road opens its doors today, German shopping centre companies ECE and Deutsche Euroshop have announced.

The new section houses more than 60 additional shops, cafés and restaurants, bringing the total to around 200 over a sales area of some 66,000 m2.

The shopping gallery will provide jobs for over 1,000 people - 400 more jobs than prior to the modernisation project. The investment volume for the new centre section and the modernization of the existing complex is in the region of EUR 60 mln.

The A10 Center first opened in 1996 and was taken over by Deutsche Euroshop at the beginning of last year. Since then it has been managed by ECE, the European market leader in the shopping centre segment. The A10 is one of the biggest and best-known shopping centers in Berlin and Brandenburg.
