MGPA launches EUR 500m Asian spezialfonds

Independent private equity real estate investor MGPA has announced plans to launch a EUR 500 mln core-plus spezialfonds for German institutional investors.

The special fund will focus on established Asian markets including Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan. The fund will to focus on commercial property and follow a core/core + investment strategy.

The fund will also be able to borrow a further EUR 500 mln, offering a potential investment volume of EUR 1 bn. MGPA will be advised on structuring the product by Selinus Capital.

MGPA currently manages US$11 bn (EUR 7.6 bn) in assets across Asia and Europe.
