MAPIC: Auchan to anchor Russian shopping centre

French hypermarket group Auchan is to take 20,000 m2 of space as anchor tenant in a shopping and entertainment centre in the Russian city of Tyumen. Cushman & Wakefield advised on the deal.

The total area of the centre is 100,000 m2 with a gross lettable area of 75,000 m2. The open parking area will have 3,000 parking lots. The shopping centre will include an entertainment zone with multi-screen theatre, food-court and restaurants. The opening is planned for the fourth quarter of 2012.

MDS Group is to develop the shopping centre, for which Cushman & Wakefield is the exclusive leasing agent.
