MWB, the UK-listed hotels and serviced office group, said on Thursday that Robert Cook is stepping down from his position as CEO of its boutique hotels business.

MWB said Cook is leaving to pursue new opportunities.

Cook has been head of MWB's Malmaison and Hotel du Vin since 2004 when he re-joined the business as CEO of Malmaison. Later the same year he was closely involved in the doubling in size of the hotel business through the acquisition of Hotel du Vin. The group then had 15 hotels.

The collection has since grown to 26 boutique hotels and two stand alone restaurants.
