Tishman Speyer leases 37,600 m2 in Paris' Le Lumiere

US property company Tishman Speyer has leased 37,600 m2 in Le Lumiere office building in the 12th arrondissement of Paris to the French Ministry of Home Affairs. BNP Paribas Real Estate brokered the transaction, the largest leasing deal reported in the French office market since 2005.

Le Lumière is the largest office scheme in Paris offering over 130,000 m2, an auditorium and a crèche. The Ministry has agreed to occupy the scheme with a 12-year fixed rental term.

The 1,700 staff currently located in the 15th arrondissement of the capital is expected to relocate in the second half of 2012.
