Klepierre boosts equity base

French property company Klepierre has boosted its shareholders' equity by nearly EUR 190 mln with the issuance of 7.6 million new shares at a price of EUR 24.69 each. The new issue represents 4.2% of its total share capital.

The equity injection followed the acceptance of a EUR 1.25 share dividend by a majority of shareholders. Investors were also able to opt for a cash payout which came to EUR 34.3 mln, the company said.

In the first quarter of 2010, Klepierre's rental revenues were up by 3.2% year-on-year to EUR 246 mln, from EUR 238 mln in the same period a year before.
