Kanam puts EUR 1.1bn portfolio up for sale - report
Date: 7 September 2011
Category: Fund
Kanam is selling its London office portfolio valued at £1 bn (EUR 1.1 bn), according to a report in Property Week. The German real estate fund manager has reportedly appointed Knight Frank to sell the four HQ properties in the portfolio to take advantage of a 'flight to prime' by investors looking to buy in the UK capital. Kanam and Knight Frank were unavailable for comment.

The assets comprise Deutsche Bank's UK headquarters located at London Walk; Thomas Reuters's head office in Canary Wharf; the HQ of international law firm Olswang at High Holborn and the Broadgate office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. KanAm bought the properties between 2003 and 2007.

Property Week said Kanam is believed to be moving out of London to focus on Eurozone markets.
