Union appoints new real estate director

Jens Wilhelm is taking over responsibilities for real estate on the board of Frankfurt-based Union Investment Asset Management Holding, effective 1 July. Wilhelm (45) succeeds Wolfgang Mansfeld, who is retiring.

Last week, Wilhelm was also appointed as chairman of the supervisory board of Union Investment Real Estate.

He has been on Union's board since January 2008, being responsible for the management of the group's entire portfolio of around EUR 176 bn. Before joining Union Investment in 2002, Wilhelm held various fund management positions at Dresdner Bank.

Union Investment Real Estate, led by Reinhard Kutscher and headquartered in Hamburg, manages assets of EUR 19 bn.
