Date: 24 June 2011
Category: Logistics
Invesco Real Estate (IRE) has purchased a 45,300-m2 logistics property at Torsvik Logistics Park in the southern Swedish city of Jönköping for EUR 33 mln.

The Flahult 21:45 asset is fully let on a long-term lease to Aditro Logistics. The property is earmarked for IRE's Pan-European Fund.

IRE said that Jönköping is a transport, logistics and communications area, situated between Gothenburg and Stockholm, with excellent rail, road and air access.

The purchase comes hard on the heels of IRE's acquisition earlier this week of Gänsemarkt 45 (G45) in Hamburg, Germany for EUR 63 mln.

The transaction is the first in the Nordics for the IRE fund. Paddy Bingham, IRE's director of Fund Management: 'The fund is now fully diversified across all seven of its target markets and across the three commercial sectors'.
