Investa buys Uferstadt business park from Doughty Hanson
Date: 20 January 2012
Category: Deal
Germany's Investa Immobiliengruppe has acquired the Uferstadt Fürth business and science park from UK private equity firm Doughty Hanson. The companies agreed to keep financial details confidential. Financing for the deal was provided by Eurohypo.

Uferstadt was acquired by Doughty Hanson's Fund I in November 2001. Located in northern Bavaria's 'hi-tech triangle', between Nuremberg, Fürth and Erlangen, the property was previously the head office campus of Grundig and provides 80,000 m2 of modern office space in eight buildings, together with car parking and ancillary services.

Principal tenants on the business park include the Free State of Bavaria, Deutsche Post and Atos Origin. Investa was appointed to manage the property in 2004.

Law firm Clifford Chance advised Investa.
