Internos leases 12,000m2 space in the Netherlands

Internos Real Investors said that it has leased 12,000 m2 of logistic space at Ridderhaven Industrial Estate on behalf of the HBI fund to Boon Sliedrecht for a 10-year term. The MCD supermarket supplier has increased the amount of space it occupies at the site by 5,000 m2.

Located in Ridderkerk in the southwest of the Netherlands, Ridderhaven currently accommodates 20 tenants and provides 50,000 m2 of logistic and office space, of which approx. 13,000 m2 of logistics space and 1,500 m2 of office space remain available.

Internos is a EUR 1.5 bn owner-managed real estate fund management business. Jos Short, executive chairman and founder of Internos said: 'We are delighted that an existing tenant has decided to take advantage of the site's excellent location and facilities by signing a long lease for 12,000 m2 of space. This deal highlights the importance of focusing on the needs of current tenants as well as securing new tenants in our efforts to increase returns and maximise investor value.' The HBI portfolio comprises multi-let light industrial properties located primarily in the Netherlands, France, Denmark and Sweden.
