Vienna-listed real estate company Immofinanz has secured a EUR 210 mln refinancing and development facility for its Silesia City Center mall in Katowice, Poland. The funding is being provided by German banks Helaba and pbb Deutsche Pfandbriefbank in a club deal.

Both banks acted as joint mandated lead arrangers, with Helaba as agent.

Silesia City Center was acquired by Immofinanz in 2005 and refinanced by Helaba in 2008. The asset comprises 250 retail outlets over 66,000 m2 of rentable space, and is the largest shopping mall in Upper Silesia. The centre was extended by 20,000 m2 and opened in October 2011 with an additional 60 stores let to retailers such as Van Graaf, H&M, Smyk Megastore, Stradivarius, Massimo Dutti and KappAhl. In the first week of the opening, the newly expanded centre attracted over 300,000 visitors.
