Ilkka Tomperi named partner at Capman RE

Ilkka Tomperi has been appointed partner at Capman Real Estate as of 1 July 2011.Tomperi will be responsible for the business development and international expansion of Capman's real estate investment activities.

Tomperi has been a vice president at Franklin Templeton Real Estate Advisors since 2007, responsible for investment strategy and the management of private equity real estate fund investments in Europe. He previously worked as head of Other Investments at the State Pension Fund and as a Manager in PwC Corporate Finance.

Tomperi is a Finnish citizen and will be based in Capman's Helsinki office.

Mika Matikainen, deputy head of Capman Real Estate, said: 'We have a strong track record and investor base in Finland; and it is a natural step for us to start to investigate the potential to extend our fund investor base internationally and expand our investment focus to the other Nordic countries in connection with future funds. Ilkka has extensive experience of the international real estate business and extensive networks, which should prove very useful in helping us achieve our international expansion goals.'
