Hochtief Projektentwicklung has let a further 2,400 m2 of office space at Lindley Carrée in Hamburg to Ipsos, the international corporation for survey-assisted market research, which will relocate its offices to the building in November. Prior to the start of construction work, life assurance company neue Leben Lebensversicherung had secured 8,000 m2.

The property, which is located in the south of the city between Sachsenstrasse and the bank of the South Canal and has a gross floor area of around 24,500 m2, will be completed by the end of the year. The seven-story atrium building, on a 6,000 m2 lot, is being constructed according to sustainable practices.

The facade has been designed in such a way that energy consumption is optimally reduced by the size and structure of the glass surfaces, combined with external solar protection. The energy consumed will be significantly below the levels prescribed by the European Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV). Lindley Carrée will also meet the requirements for a Certificate of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) from the United States Green Building Council.
