Henderson strengthens French property team

Henderson Global Investors has hired Jasper Gilbey as a fund manager for its EUR 117 mln AUB French Logistics Fund. Gilbey will be based in Henderson's Paris office. He will be in charge of the strategy and the fund management of the AUB French Logistics Fund which was launched in 2005 to target logistics and industrial property throughout France.

Alongside specific fund responsibilities, Gilbey will contribute to the deployment of capital and asset management for a number of other Henderson funds throughout France. He will also assist in the overall development of the Henderson's property business in France.

Gilbey joins from Invista REIM France. He started his career in London in 2004 at Insight Investment, where he participated in the fund management of a £1.8 bn (EUR 2 bn) fund, investing principally in retail and warehousing. Later in 2004, he joined Invista REIM where for his first three years, he specialised in the French property market and assisted in the launch of its first pan-European listed fund. In 2007 he transferred to the Paris office of Invista REIM and was promoted to director in September 2010.

Henderson's property business manages around £12 bn of real estate assets.
