Henderson buys Plein Air retail gallery in Blanc Mesnil

Henderson Global Investors has purchased the commercial gallery within the Blanc-Mesnil shopping centre in the new La Molette district of Blanc Mesnil, to the north-east of Paris. Financial details were not disclosed. The vendors are developer Immobilière Frey and SCI Eiffel Molette, which separately owned a 50% share each.

The newly-developed shopping centre is the first building erected in the heart of the new Eiffel district and consists of 49 shops over a gross area of 11,000 m2. Main tenants are Sport Direct, La Grande Récrée, and Espace Culturel Leclerc.

'With the acquisition of the mall, Henderson Global Investors realises a strategic investment in a booming area,' said Chris Linney, head of Property for Henderson Global Investors in France.

Henderson Global Investors was advised by law firm Arshurts, notary firm Flusin, Turnbull and broker Jones Lang LaSalle.
