Date: 28 June 2011
Category: Retail
Helical Poland, a subsidiary of UK listed real estate investor Helicar Bar, has started the development of the Europa Centralna regional shopping centre and adjoining retail park near Gliwice, Poland.

Spec-Bruk, a specialist groundwork contractor, has been mandated to carry out the first phase of development on site before the main contract will be awarded in August 2011.

The scheme - representing Helical Poland's largest project so far - is being commercialised by Helical Poland’s leasing team working in conjunction with Jones Lang La Salle and Colliers International. Key tenants include brands such as Castorama, Tesco Extra, Media Expert, and H&M.

On completion in autumn 2012, the centre will offer some 67,000 m2 of net retail space.
