Germany's Hochtief Projektentwicklung has announced the letting of 12,000 m2 of office space in the first building of its Le Quartier Central office development project in Duesseldorf, Germany.

In a statement, the company said that it has reached an agreement with three companies of French communication service provider Publicis Group for the leasing of roughly 90% of the 13,400-m2 project which is due for completion by the end of 2012. Hochtief purchased the 3,800-m2 lot in Duesseldorf at the end of 2010 from Aurelis Real Estate.

The office building is designed to meet the sustainability criteria of the German Council for Sustainable Building (DGNB), with Hochtief Projektentwicklung aiming for at least Silver certification.
