International real estate federations Fiabci and Icrea have taken a formal step towards creating a unified organisation. The pair signed an alliance agreement during the Icrea board meetings in Berlin last week.

The International Consortium of Real Estate Associations (Icrea) is an alliance more than 45 real estate associations. Fiabci, the International Real Estate Federation, is a federation of almost 100 national real estate associations.

During the past 18 months Fiabci and Icrea have met periodically to discuss cooperating to optimise the combined strength of the two groups and maximise the benefits for real estate professionals globally.

Fiabci and Icrea said they share a core vision of the need for a global leading organisation which embraces all sectors of the property industry.
