Dutch developers OVG and MAB are reportedly seeking to sell the 160,000 m2 De Rotterdam mixed-use project on the waterfront in Rotterdam. The office section of the scheme, also known as Vertical City, will cover 72,000 m2 and is valued roughly at around EUR 200 mln.

A MAB spokesperson declined to either confirm or deny the negotiation talks. 'We are always in contact with parties who might buy our products,' he told PropertyEU, adding that no sales agreement has been reached yet.

The residential section of the complex was sold to local developer Amvest. In addition, the property will also have 9,000 m2 of leisure and 19,000 m2 of hotel space on completion in 2013.

Designed by architect Rem Koolhaas, the multifunctional building consists of three towers and is being constructed on the banks of the Maas river on the Wilhelmina Pier in Rotterdam. The City of Rotterdam's land registry recently signed a lease for 30,000 m2.
