Global real estate adviser DTZ has confirmed it is holding talks with various parties after receiving 'a number' of takeover approaches. DTZ made the announcement to the London Stock Exchange on Wednesday after the company's share price increased by almost 15% during the day.

The London-listed broker said that the unnamed parties had approached the company about investing in DTZ's shares, including 'a possible offer for the shares in the company'.

DTZ said it is holding discussions with the various parties, but stressed that the discussions are at a very preliminary stage. 'There can be no certainty that any structure will be progressed or that any offer will be ultimately made,' the firm said.
