ATP Real estate commits EUR 100m to two US funds

Danish pension fund ATP has committed $145 mln (EUR 100 mln) in two US real estate funds so far this year. The move is part of by the pension fund's property arm, ATP Real Estate, to plough EUR 700 mln into funds and other joint venture strategies.

In June, ATP Real Estate Partners I K/S committed to invest $65 mln with the UBS Trumbull Property Fund. The fund is an existing open-ended fund with a low risk profile seeking a diversified exposure to real estate assets across property sectors in the US. The investment was ATP Real Estate's second investment with UBS.

Three months earlier ATP Real Estate Partners II K/S made a commitment to invest $80 mln in the Morgan Stanley Prime Property Fund. The fund is an existing open-ended fund pursuing diversified investments in stable income producing real estate assets across property sectors in the US. The commitment was signed in March 2011. This was ATP Real Estate's first investment with Morgan Stanley.
