Christie+Co, the business advisors for the hotel sector, will market a portfolio of 26 luxury country house hotels in the UK on behalf of the administrators of von Essen Hotels.

The portfolio consists of castles, stately homes and country house hotels located in England , Scotland and Wales . Within the UK group are some of the most historic hotels in the world including Cliveden and The Royal Crescent Hotel, Bath .

'Given the history and international reputation of these hotels we anticipate considerable interest from potential buyers who have already been in contact to try and secure some or all of this famous collection of hotels,' said Chris Day, managing director of Christie + Co.
