Specialist property agent and adviser Christie + Co has been appointed by Spain's Nueva Rumasa to advise it on the sale of the Hotasa hotel portfolio.

Hotasa Group owns 15 hotels and resorts strategically located in popular holiday destinations. The portfolio for sale comprises one hotel on the Costa del Sol; five hotels in Tenerife; one hotel in Gran Canaria; one hotel in Huelva; six hotels in Mallorca and one hotel in Menorca.

Christie + Co is marketing the hotels and offers are invited from prospective purchasers on a portfolio, sub-group, or individual property basis.

'Our open marketing programme is designed to engage the maximum number of credible buyers and ensure transparency throughout the negotiation process - to the benefit of both buyer and seller,' said Inmaculada Ranera, managing director of the company's operations in Spain and Portugal.

She added: 'Some hotels offer additional growth opportunities and could potentially be converted and repositioned in a higher category.'
