Christie + Co seeks buyers for London and Bournemouth hotels

Category: Hotels
Christie + Co has been instructed to find a buyer for a proposed 172-bedroom hotel development in Bournemouth, Dorset. The adviser has also arranged 40 viewings of the Park Inn Hyde Park in London before the first round of offers due in mid-April.

Christie + Co said it is acting on behalf of Grosvenor Developments and The Tonstate Group in the marketing of the development in Bournemouth.

Grosvenor Developments has received outline planning consent for the hotel, which will be situated on Richmond Gardens. The proposed hotel will form part of a striking mixed-use scheme, which will include 120 residential apartments and about 1,200 m2 of offices. The site is available as a development opportunity on a long lease at peppercorn rent.

Jonathan Parrish, head of Investment at Christie + Co, said: 'This is a really exciting and rare opportunity to deliver a quality new-build hotel suitable for international branding into a robust trading market, where there is very little branded, let alone new-generation hotel product.'

Earlier Christie + Co announced that the 188-bedroom Park Inn Hyde Park, which is being marketed on behalf of the Gresham Hotel Group, has already generated a number of preliminary bids.
