CBRE strengthens crossborder retail teams

CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) has strengthened its Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and Asia retail teams with several senior appointments. In Sweden, Magnus Hammar has been appointed to the role of head of Retail and Logistics Advisory and will be based in Stockholm. His experience primarily includes asset management and the development of retail and logistic properties in Sweden. Victoria Haggårds and Mikael Karlsson also join the Retail and Logistics team in Stockholm bringing with them extensive retail experience in asset management, analysis, development, and leasing.

In CBRE's Gothenburg office, Bengt Axelsson has been appointed to the position of head of Retail Tenant; prior to joining CBRE he worked for Colliers International. Tomas Pendén also joins the retail tenant team in Gothenburg from Colliers International and specialises in all aspects of retail leasing and landlord liaison.

CBRE has expanded its 'Pan-Ireland' retail team with the appointment of Shane Cahir and Niamh Riney to the positions of associate directors. Cahir joins CBRE from Colliers International where he specialised in shopping centres and tenant representation. Riney previously held the position of Retail Chartered Surveyor at Savills where she was primarily responsible for high-profile retail projects, including shopping centres and high street retail premises.

As part of a broader strategy to assist global retail clients to expand in Asia, CBRE has appointed Sebastian Skiff to the role of executive director based in Beijing.
