Global real estate adviser Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) has been commissioned to provide property management services to the recently launched Henderson German Retail Income Fund (HGRIF).

'This mandate gives us the opportunity to shape the management processes for the retail properties from the outset as the portfolio is built up,' Anne Braun, head of property & asset management at C&W Germany said.

Henderson Global Investors established the fund targeted at German institutional investors who want to invest purely in new or recently renovated retail parks and hypermarkets in Germany.

The fund is in the purchasing phase for several properties, and has a total target volume of between EUR 250-300 mln.
